Background of the Mon State Federal Council
1. Formation of Mon State Federal Council
With the aim of building a stronger and more solid Mon political force for the anti-dictatorship revolution in Mon State after the military coup in February 2021, the Mon State Interim Coordination Committee (MSICC) was initially established on April 19, 2021.

About the Mon State Federal Council
The Mon State Interim Coordination Committee was established on April 19, 2021, to build a stronger and more united Mon political force for the anti-dictatorship revolution in Mon State.
On January 15, 2023, it was reorganized as the Mon State Federal Council to ensure the inclusion of ethnic forces and groups across Mon State.
MSFC brings together representatives from political, revolutionary, civil society, ethnic, women’s, youth, overseas, CDM, and professional groups.
